The BioHorizons Global Education Tour 2018 (#GET2018) was conceived to offer cutting-edge training in implant therapy around the globe through presentations held by leading clinical experts. At these presentations, attendees had the chance to learn about innovative clinical solutions and cutting-edge evidence-based protocols that contribute to achieving new efficiency and effectiveness levels in patient care and consultations.
The popular International Symposium opened the tour. Over 400 physicians from 41 countries around the world met in Dubrovnik in May to update their knowledge on “Global Insights on Implant Therapy: A Passport to Overcoming Complications”.
The educational programme of the Symposium – over three days of seminars – included the management of advanced surgical procedures, regenerative solutions in aesthetics, restorative procedures, and digital odentistry, all conducted by first-class lecturers: Gaetano Calesini, Pynadath George, Luca Gobbato, Ramón Gómez-Meda, Bach Le, Francisco Marchesani, Martijn Moolenaar, Carlos Repullo, Alain Romanos, Tiziano Testori and Natalie Wong. A pre-conference workshop with a practical component was also held on “TeethXpress Full Arch Immediate Load”, conducted by doctors Udatta Kher and Ali Tunkiwala.
“Biohorizons’ symposia are characterised by bringing together leading specialists in implantology and offering advanced training to attendees with a view to the future. We are proud to be offering this kind of education. At these events, it is not only the attendees who enjoy the educational programmes and the networking; we also benefit from interacting with the dental professionals and we learn what is important for them,” said Verónica Zamora, International Marketing & Education Senior Director at BioHorizons.
However, the Pearl of the Adriatic was only the starting point of an exciting journey, with stopovers in Chile (Dr Marius Steigmann), Italy (Dr Tiziano Testori), Colombia (Doctors Stephen Chu, Ramón Gómez Meda, Guillermo Bernal and David Troncoso), India (Doctors Dennis Tarnow and Udatta Kher) and lastly, Spain (Dr Marius Steigmann).
