FDI - FDI New Delhi 2014: the major international event in the worldwide dental calendar

In September of this year, an estimated 15,000 or more dental practitioners, dental industry representatives and other oral health professionals will converge on Greater Noida, near New Delhi, India, for the major international event in the worldwide dental calendar: the 2014 FDI Annual World Dental Congress and its accompanying exhibition.

This year’s congress - which runs from 11 to 14 September - boasts more than 30 international speakers from all continents and from all dental disciplines, the most extensive grouping to be assembled for a dental congress this year. In addition, a full programme of renowned Indian experts are listed on the congress schedule.

Over 1600 abstracts have been submitted this year and - for the first time at an FDI dental congress - the poster presentations will be displayed on flat screen monitors rather than as printed posters. In addition, some 6,000 square metres are taken up with the 2014 exhibition of international and national dental products services.

FDI New Delhi 2014 is jointly organized by FDI and the Indian Dental Association (IDA). Says FDI President Dr Tin Chun: “FDI and IDA have created a truly exceptional, international event this year and a scientific programme to satisfy the high expectations of delegates.

Adds Dr Mahesh Verma, IDA president and Chair of the Local Organizing Committee: “The FDI congress offers a unique opportunity for dental professionals and all other sectors related to oral healthcare to meet and learn from one another.”
